It’s almost time for back to school and the Bridgewater Public Library is here to help! We have a large selection of school themed picture books, some books to help ease your little one’s mind about going to school, school themed chapter books and ideas for school lunches.
Let's begin with our parenting section, which contains a lot of sensitive topic picture books including books about bullying, friendship, sharing and more.
Here are a couple of new additions to the parenting collection in 2021: Sometimes it's hard to be nice by Maggie Rudd, I am a kindness hero by Jennifer Adams, Checking in by Emily Arrow
We have also added some new picture books about school to our collection: Time for School, Little Blue Truck by Alice Schertle, Little Bat in night school by Brian Lies, Sesame Street What if?: Answers to Calm First-Day-Of-School Jitters.
For the older kids, we have Baby Mouse: Tales from the Locker (this is a chapter book series of five books), Spy School (currently eight books in this series) and Middle School by James Patterson (currently 13 books in the series).
There are so many books- these are just a small selection of what you will find at the Bridgewater Public Library. We are adding new books to our collection each week. You can also search our online catalog to place holds with your SAILS library card or ask us for suggestions (or check out our back-to-school display!).
