The Camp at Myles Standish with Dr. William Hanna

Dr. William Hanna is a lifelong resident of Taunton who taught for 37 years in the city's public school system. For much of that time he was the Social Studies curriculum supervisor at Taunton High School. He holds a doctorate in history from Boston College and has taught part-time in the History Department at Bridgewater State University for more than 25 years. He speaks and writes frequently on New England history. His published work includes Abraham among the Yankees : Abraham Lincoln's 1848 visit to Massachusetts and A history of Taunton, Massachusetts. His latest book, written with Katie MacDonald, is entitled From Tetiquet to the Sea: A History of the Taunton River. It will be published in November, 2023.
