Plymouth County Corrections: Then & Now
Tuesday, Aug. 23 @ 7p.m.
Learn about your county’s correctional history —- from pilgrim law to the modern facility in Plymouth!
Deputy Liisa C. Budge-Johnson, Program Service Outreach Coordinator for the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department, will present this program.
This is a free lecture—the public is invited.
 
Meet the AstroGeek
Tuesday, July 26 @ 7p.m.
Local amateur astronomer, Stephen LaFlamme will be sharing anecdotes and photographs that he has collected over the past 30 years. See the universe like you never thought possible!
Suitable for the family, including children over the
age of six.
 
Summer Hours:
Monday 4-8; Tuesday 1-8; Wednesday 10-5;      Thursday 9-5. No Saturday hours July and August.

Michael Walsh is exhibiting his photographs from July 7th through the end of August. His vivid color photos depict a variety of New England scenes.
The Flora T. Little Gallery is accessible by elevator.
Help Us Build our Postcard Wall
Taking a trip this summer? Whether you’re visiting Cape Cod or a location on the other side of the world —- please send us a post card. In keeping with the statewide Summer Reading Program which focuses on travel, we will post it on our Vacation Postcard Wall near the Service Desk.
Postcards should be mailed to: 
Novel Destinations,   c/o Bridgewater Public Library, 15 South Street, Bridgewater, MA 02324.
As an alternative to mailing, you may drop your postcard at the library’s Service Desk when you
return to town.

Museum Pass Program
The library has recently acquired the Plimoth Plantation Family Library Pass, which is good for reduced admission for 2 adults and 2 children. The pass can be used for both the Mayflower II and the English Village.
We also offer passes for the Mystic Aquarium in CT, the Museum of Science in Boston, and the MASS Pass Program (free parking at state beaches).

Summer Reading Program: June 27-August 11

One World, Many Stories
Children in pre-school through age 12 may register. Children are encouraged to read books of their own choice at their own rate.
All participants are eligible to win a bike donated by Estabrook & Chamberlain Insurance Agency.   To enter the raffle, you must read at least one book.
One World, Many Stories is sponsored by your local library, the Massachusetts Library System, The Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. The Friends of the Library and Estabrook & Chamberlain are also sponsors.
