You will work in groups of three to complete the project, each student in your group will take on one of three roles.

You are to write a navigation journal of Monet's life from birth to death. This will be done in the form of a time line. Your story will be based on research you obtain from the resources page.

Navigational Investigator:

1. When/where was Monet born?

2. List 3 - 5 major influences or events that occurred during Monet's lifetime?

3. Write a couple of sentences expressing your opinion of Monet's life.

Navigational Art Critic:

1. What artistic style is Monet associated with? 

2. What medium does Monet use?

3. What genre (subjects) does Monet focus on?

Navigational Interpreter:

1. In a brief paragraph describe the culture, of your artist's time.

2. How did Monet change the world of art as it was known at that time?

3. How can you apply Monet's life and the changes he made in the art world to make the world you live in a better place?

Finally, as a group select your favorite painting of Monet.

Create an original work of art copying your artist's style and medium.
